Joined the company in the year 1974 as Assistant Manager and worked up the ladder to become General Manager (Operation) in 2001 and Chief Executive Officer in the year 2002 for two companies of Finlay Group namely “The Consolidated Tea and Lands Company (Bangladesh) Limited” and “Baraoora (Sylhet) Tea Limited”. Retired on 13th June 2011 on attaining retirement age as per company policy.
Trained in Swires executive course and Financial management (Accounting) Course, Insead, Fountain-bleau, Fance in 2003 (This course is for executives heading business of John Swire & Sons (Pvt.) Limited.Management training at Bangladesh Management development Centre, Dhaka.Diploma in Management, Bangladesh Tea Board, Srimangal, Moulvibazar.

Had been a Member of FBCCI (Federation of Bangladesh Chambers and Commerce & Industry) 2006-2007 Had been a Member of British Business Club, British High Commission, Dhaka. Represent the industry in various Forums (like Scientific Committee at Bangladesh Tea Research Institute, Local Technical Committee, Project development unit, Bangladesh Tea Board etc.
